Workshops, webinars and speaking engagements for Good Mental Health

Whether it is a short talk, a lunchtime webinar, or a full or half day workshop, I offer engaging, practical, workshops for organisations, schools and businesses on anxiety and good mental health.

"We ran sessions for both high school students and parents on the run up to the stressful examination period. The workshops were excellent, both in terms of delivery and content. The practical tips, exercises and examples were super helpful for our students and feedback from the parents was extremely positive. We are already planning further sessions for students!"

OVERVIEW

Simple, effective, evidence-based strategies for understanding and managing your mental health, all taken from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. In all my workshops, I include a range of strategies including:

THINKING

We all perceive things differently, and this has a huge impact upon how we feel. Learn first to understand why it makes complete sense that you see things the way you do, and then learn some useful, practical strategies for managing your thinking in a helpful way.

PHYSICAL

Stress, anxiety and depression all come with huge physical repercussions (tension, back pain, stomach issues, etc). Learning some simple strategies for dealing with these can really have an impact overall.

BEHAVIOUR

We all know what kinds of things are supposed to help (exercise, sleep, taking breaks etc), but we don't always do them, and how do you know if they are genuinely going to be effective for you? Learn about different types of behaviour and how they do or don't help, and importantly, how to actually take some steps right now, even if they are small.

STYLE

My workshops and talks are very much like my videos for social media. I use flip charts and drawn pictures rather than slides, and I aim to make it as understandable and easy to apply as I possibly can.

FORMATS:

ONLINE INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP

Online workshops are how most of my sessions are delivered. They offer good flexibility as people can choose how much they want to interact. They can sit back and listen, or they can ask questions and get involved. These tend to work best for up to 20 people.

WEBINAR

Webinars are good if you want a lot of people to be able to attend, but they don't offer the interaction. Another benefit of a webinar format is that it gives us the option to record the session for those who couldn't attend or for future use.

IN PERSON

I do also love a face-to-face workshop, if that is the best option for you.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Ted has worked with our first year undergraduate students on many occasions through talks and engaging workshops (using his famous flip charts!) and has built an instant rapport with our cohorts, with a sensitive an open conversation that is relatable and has equipped students with understanding of Mental Health and importantly how to manage it.  This should be taught to every young person and child, so they can grow with understanding and tools to self manage their mental health!

It has lead to many important conversations between peers and staff alike, and we will certainly be welcoming him back soon 🙂
